Commissioned by my alma mater, Southwestern University, this pair of posters advertised a career fair for graduating seniors. The slogans are aimed at the liberal arts audience who, for better or worse, have low standards when they enter the competitive job market. I cast my father as the model because, when he isn’t smiling, his face is utterly devoid of joy and hope and that’s what graduating with a BA in Anthropology feels like.
