TJ Moss is a songwriter and musician in NY. For his website, I created a solution that was contemporary and a bit too-cool-for-school, while using macro photography of outdated audio formats to conjure up the nostalgia of tape trading and vinyl digging. The used record store metaphor was extended to the structure of the website: a system of modular content boxes and generous use of the jQuery library that allow visitors to flip through different content like records in a milk crate. A shadowbox script allows TJ to incorporate exterior social networks (Facebook, MySpace, LastFM and YouTube) into the site in a seamless way so that his fans never have to stray far to hear new music or build community.
